Who is an American?
 


An American is — someone who believes in the American Declaration of Independence and who supports, protects and defends the U.S. Constitution by helping to deliver America’s Promise to themselves, their family, their neighbors, their community and their Country.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men
are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator
with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are
Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
 
Definitions --
1) Life: Living free from threats of physical harm,
    deprivation or developmental denial.
2) Liberty: Lifestyle choices unencumbered by arbitrary
    rules and regulations.
3) Pursuit of Happiness: Unimpeded vertical mobility in
    Personal, Social or Financial aspirations.

 
Being an American requires allegiance
to traditional American “Kinship” that
can resurrect America's Promise.
America's Promise = Citizens can enjoy a lifestyle of choice through
constructive and productive collaboration. America's Promise has taken
some hard hits lately.
"These are the times that try men's souls.
The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis,
shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands by
it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman."
(Thomas Paine's words are as true today as they were in 1774.)
 
Recognizing and respecting the nine "Tap Roots" (pdf; 1 page)
from which America's Tree of Liberty grew.
